Department of Chemistry

Requirements for the Preliminary stage and the department : (138 Units) .

The Chemistry Department aspires to disseminate and teach the scientific foundations and principles of chemistry, and to provide students of the department with the opportunity to learn about the various branches of chemistry (Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry). The department also includes in its future plans strategies to keep pace with scientific advancements in the field of chemistry.

The mission of the Chemistry Department is to strive to prepare graduates who are scientifically and practically proficient in the various fields of chemistry and its applications, capable of teaching and conveying information to students, as well as presenting distinguished and advanced scientific research that serves the environment and society .

To instill in students an awareness of the importance of chemistry and equip them with the knowledge of how to handle chemical substances and transform them into safe materials, thereby making them desirable candidates for educational institutions to teach chemistry, and for scientific, research, and professional organizations. To raise the scientific level of students and faculty members by organizing scientific activities (seminars, courses, discussion groups, workshops) and providing books, references, research papers, and journals.

High school diploma with a minimum GPA of 75%, passing the personal interview, passing written tests if any, submitting all required documents within specified deadlines.
