Natural Resources

The Department of Natural Resources is one of the scientific departments affiliated with the College of Natural Resources at the University of Derna. It is concerned with studying Libya's abundant natural resources, such as water, soil, forests, livestock, and minerals, with the aim of managing them sustainably and preserving them for future generations.

Excellence in scientific research within the field of natural resources in the region, coupled with their conservation and development.

To prepare qualified scientific and technical cadres capable of competing in local and international labor markets within the field of natural resource management.

1. To provide students with information about natural resources and their locations within the surrounding region, maximizing their potential utilization. 2. To develop skills in natural resources and the scientific background necessary for pursuing higher education, engaging in scientific research, or through professional practice in the field, thereby qualifying a graduate who is knowledgeable about their environment and the important natural resources. 3. To ensure that graduates possess a comprehensive blend of information about natural resources to achieve their goals. 4. To prepare graduates with scientific confidence, enabling them to work effectively in their field of specialization. 5. The department contributes to equipping students with the scientific knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their lives through their work in various state institutions. 6. The department works to prepare graduates who possess vitality, scientific knowledge, a specialized philosophy, and a level of information and skills necessary for them to succeed and achieve their goal of obtaining a degree. 7. Graduates will possess an advanced scientific understanding of the relationship between humans and their environment in terms of natural resources, enabling them to apply scientific progress, modern technologies, policies, and software to solve complex natural resource problems. 8. To establish a link between natural resources and sustainable development, achieving this by accelerating the rate of growth while mitigating pressures on the environment and its natural resources. 9. To develop and manage the natural resources within the region.

High school diploma with a minimum GPA of 75%, passing the personal interview, passing written tests if any, submitting all required documents within specified deadlines.
