Based on the development of higher education and the community’s need for specialists in the fields of engineering and technical professions, as well as in pursuit of enhancing the outputs of this great academic institution represented by the prestigious University of Derna, the Department of Renewable Energy Engineering was established pursuant to the Ministry of Higher Education’s decision No. 146 of 2017, following the diligent efforts of Dr. Yasser Al-Farjani Al-Dali, Coordinator of the College of Engineering – Derna.
The Bachelor's program in Renewable Energy Engineering at the University of Derna offers a distinguished blend of core courses from Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering, along with a rich selection of elective courses that prepare students for future careers or graduate studies in the fields of renewable energy engineering.
