Department of Mechanical Engineering

In the 2000-2001 the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Derna was established and continues to provide a platform for students to display their strengths and develop their engineering skills. Our emphasis is on ensuring that students are well-prepared for a stimulating learning environment that blends theoretical knowledge with contemporary practical experiences.

To excel in both education and scientific research within the mechanical engineering field, empowering individuals to create innovative engineering solutions for their communities.

1. Provide graduates who possess the skills and knowledge required to secure employment in mechanical engineering and related fields. 2. Prepare graduates who are able to pursue higher education in mechanical engineering or other professions and maintain themselves through lifelong learning. 3. Advance engineering aptitudes such as critical thinking, analysis, and creativity in students. 4. Focus on the significance of scientific research in addressing society's issues. 5. Establish and enforce safety protocols in their workplace while also fulfilling their duties.

High school diploma with a minimum GPA of 75%, passing the personal interview, passing written tests if any, submitting all required documents within specified deadlines.
