1. Acquire the competence pertaining to medicine that is required to be practised in the community and at all levels of health care system 2. Acquire the skills to manage the patients effectively. 3. Acquire skill in effectively communicating with patient and his attendants. 4. Aware of the latest developments in the field of medicine. 6. Acquire skills in educating medical and paramedical professionals. 7. To provide trainees with essential knowledge, skills and attitudes to competently practice internal medicine in ambulatory and hospital setting. 8.To provide the trainees with the basics of research methodology.
