The Department of Painting provides advanced technical resources and adheres to international academic standards, with the goal of graduating students who possess creative excellence and outstanding skills in the visual arts, meeting the demands of the contemporary art world. Vision: The Painting and Drawing Program aspires to produce graduates who can advance the fields of painting and drawing through the use of innovative techniques, enriching the arts movement within a global context. Mission: The department is committed to preparing highly qualified art professionals through a comprehensive curriculum that integrates theoretical courses—covering historical, intellectual, aesthetic, creative, and critical perspectives—with practical training in painting, drawing, and contemporary art techniques. Objectives: The Department of Painting aims to develop skilled and innovative visual artists who can elevate the aesthetic sensibilities of society. The department also offers robust academic and research opportunities, preparing graduates to compete both locally and internationally, and to positively influence society by fostering greater appreciation for art and aesthetics. Program Structure The curriculum consists of core compulsory courses that establish the foundation of the specialization and fulfill the department’s main objectives. These are divided into: Specialization courses, comprising at least 56% of the total curriculum, supporting courses, representing 32%, and general courses, accounting for 12%.
