The Department of Urban Design was established in 2005/2006 as part of the collage developing and extensions. The department is considered a branch of Urban Planning and is balanced in specialization between Urban Planning and Architectural Design. So it was an important branch to serve the need of the city and its ambitious to develop the roads, the open spaces and much more urban planning and design issues Department Vision To be a leading department in the field of urban design specialization, providing scientifically and practically qualified cadres who succeed in solving and improving the city’s problems for the better. Department Mission Continuous improvement and development to raise the efficiency and quality of education in the Department of Urban Design Engineering at all levels — including staff, curricula, teaching methods, and a suitable environment to produce outputs that meet the needs of society, the city, and the labor market.
